Aquinas camps

Aquinas High School is offering summer sports camps for students entering grades 5-8 for the following sports:

Volleyball Camp, July 16-20, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Soccer Camp, July 9-13, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Football (under the lights), July 25 (conducted by varsity football staff at no cost), 6 to 9 p.m.

Soccer openings

The AME United U13 boys soccer team is seeking field players and a goalkeeper for the fall 2007 season. Games will be played in the region. All interested players are welcome to practice with the team. For information, call coach Lopez at (706) 840-5726.

Golf tournament

The Apartment Association of Greater Augusta will hold the inaugural AAGA Golf Tournament on Friday, Aug. 10 at 8 a.m. at Forest Hills Golf Club. Proceeds will be donated to the Jud C. Hickey Center for Alzheimer's Care.

Softball camp

The Lady Dogs Softball Clinic will take place July 9-13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Patriots Park. The camp is for girls in grades 2-8 and will be led by Harlem coaches Mike Leverett and Jonathan Holley.

Golf camps

Applications are being accepted for the David Usry Junior Golf Camp at Forest Hills Golf Club. The July 31-Aug. 2 camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Camp costs include instruction, computer swing analysis a golf hat and lunch each day.
