Bible schools

Harlem United Methodist Church will hold vacation Bible school from 6-8:30 p.m. July 8-13 for ages 3 through rising fifth grade.

New Heights Community Church, on Columbia Road, will hold vacation Bible school from 6:30-9 p.m. July 8-13 for children ages 1 through teens.

July 4 barbecue

Christ Church Presbyterian, on Southern Pines Drive at Furys Ferry Road, in Evans, will present patriotic music and a barbecue dinner starting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Veterans eat free; cost for all others is $3, with a $12 family maximum. For reservations, call (706) 210-9090.
