Softball camp

The Lady Dogs Softball Clinic will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 9-13 at Patriots Park. The camp is for girls in grades 2-8 and will be led by Harlem coaches Mike Leverett and Jonathan Holley. Baseball opening

The Outlaws 13-year-old traveling baseball team wants to add three players for the upcoming 14-year-old season. Those interested in trying out should call Robert at (706) 840-1066.

Softball camp

Augusta Christian's softball camp will be held Monday through Thursday at Dayspring Baptist Church. Fifth- to seventh-graders will attended from 9 a.m. to noon; camp for eighth- to 12th-graders will be 1-4 p.m. Cost is $75. For information, call coach Craig Kupitz at (706) 726-3583.

Volleyball clinics

Golf camps

Applications are being accepted for the David Usry Junior Golf Camps at Forest Hills Golf Club on Tuesday through Thursday, July 3-5 and July 31-Aug. 2. All sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cost includes instruction, computer swing analysis, golf hat and lunch each day. Baseball tryouts

Open tryouts for a new USSSA boys 9-and-under travel team will soon take place for boys younger than 9 on May 1, 2008. No trainer fees charged. Practices to be held in the Evans area. Some overnight travel is involved. For information, call Trevor Adkins at (706) 284-7379.

Volleyball camp

Augusta Prep's fifth annual summer volleyball camps will be Monday through Friday. The middle school session (grades 5-8) will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the high school session (grades 9-12) will run from 1-4 p.m. The cost is $100 and includes a camp T-shirt.
