The Church of the Holy Comforter is sponsoring a concert of patriotic music and a barbecue supper at 5 p.m. today at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. Camp meeting

The United Methodist Church annual Whiteoak Summer Campmeeting at Whiteoak Campground will be held today-Friday with services at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. daily.

Quartet to sing

The Marksmen Quartet from the Blue Ridge Mountains in north Georgia will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Bellevue Memorial Gardens on Wrightsboro Road in Grovetown. The concert is sponsored by Bible Fellowship Church. Call (706) 651-1971.

The Maj. Gen. Ambrose Ransom Wright Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans meets at 6 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the private dining room of the Side Track Bar and Grill, at 4027 Washington Road. Harlem meeting

Harlem Planning and Zoning will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in City Hall to review the preliminary plat for the Village at Sandy Run Creek, a townhome development.

July 4 barbecue

Christ Church, Presbyterian, on Southern Pines Drive at Furys Ferry Road in Evans, will present a concert of patriotic music and a barbecue dinner at 4:30 p.m. July 4. Veterans eat free; cost for all others is $3, with a $12 family maximum. For reservations, call (706) 210-9090.

July 4 celebration

Columbia County's 13th annual July Fourth celebration at Patriots Park will open at 4 p.m. with fireworks at dark. Events include musical performances, children's games and rides, eating contests and the pig toss. Admission is free.
