Concert, barbecue

The Church of the Holy Comforter is sponsoring a concert of patriotic music and a barbecue supper at 5 p.m. Sunday at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. Cub Scout camp

The Kiokee District of the Georgia-Carolina Council of the Boy Scouts of America will hold its annual Cub Scout Summer Day Camp at Wildwood Park, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 9-13. Registration costs $90. For information, go to www.gacacouncil.org, or call (706) 733-5277.

July 4 barbecue

Christ Church, Presbyterian, on Southern Pines Drive at Furys Ferry Road, in Evans, will present a concert of patriotic music and a barbecue dinner starting at 4:30 p.m. July 4. Veterans eat free; cost for all others is $3, with a $12 family maximum. For reservations, call (706) 210-9090.

GOP breakfast

Virginia Galloway, the grassroots coordinator for Americans for Prosperity, will be the guest speaker Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Columbia County Republican Party breakfast at Fatz Cafe, in Evans. Breakfast costs $6.

- Mosaic United Methodist Church, in Evans, will hold Cowboy Church from 5:30-8:30 p.m. June 24-26 for ages 3-11.

Produce giveaway

Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church will give away produce to needy families at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church, at 703 Furys Ferry Road, in Evans.
