Scholarships

School council

The Evans High School council will meet at 10:45 a.m. Monday to elect members. Nomination forms are available at the school. Parent members must have a student enrolled in the school.

Council change

The South Columbia Elementary School council meeting scheduled for June 19 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled in July.

Bible schools

- Mosaic United Methodist Church, in Evans, will hold Cowboy Church from 5:30-8:30 p.m. June 24-26 for ages 3-11.

- Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church will hold vacation Bible school from 6:15-8:30 p.m. June 24-28. For information, call (706) 863-6795.

- Grovetown United Methodist Church will hold vacation Bible school from 6-9 p.m. June 24-28 for children ages 3-13, and will collect canned goods for United We Care. For information, call (706) 863-6355.

- Harlem United Methodist Church will hold vacation Bible school from 6-8:30 p.m. July 8-13 for ages 3 through rising fifth- graders.

Writers meet

CSRA Writers will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Barnes and Noble Booksellers, 1336 Augusta West Parkway. Writers are invited to bring eight copies of a manuscript to be critiqued. For information, call Steve Fox at (706) 836-7315.

Sierra Club
