Alfred University spring Dean's List

Robin L. Reif, of Evans, was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2007 semester at Alfred University in Alfred, N.Y. She is a sophomore in the School of Art and Design. A graduate of Greenbrier High School, Reif is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Harvey L. Reif, of Evans.

Abraham Baldwin spring Dean's List

Charles W. Baxter of Evans and Cassie L. Whitaker of Harlem, both made the Dean's List at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College for the spring 2007 semester.

MGC graduates

Jacob Thaddeus Gray of Martinez graduated with highest honors earning an associate of arts degree, and Mary Kathryn Packard of Evans also earned an associate of arts degree from Middle Georgia College.

Montevallo graduate

Christopher Cottingham of Grovetown was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Montevallo on May 5, 2007.

Clark Atlanta University award

Mildred L. Reese, a member of Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church in Evans and member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority in Augusta, has been given the 2007 CAU Alumni Service Award in Education from Clark Atlanta University. The honor was presented to her during the awards luncheon on May 18 at the Atlanta Airport Hilton Hotel.

Carson-Newman College graduate

Alan W. Griffin Jr. of Martinez received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Carson-Newman College, Jefferson City, Tenn., in commencement exercises May 12.

GSU recognitions

Casey N. Duffie has been named to the President's List for the fall 2006 semester and the Dean's List for the spring 2007 semester at Georgia Southern University for academic achievement in the College of Health and Human Sciences. She is the daughter of Michael and Christie Duffie and is a 2006 graduate from Evans High School.

Michael J Sizemore Jr. has been named to the Dean's List and the President's List for the spring semester. He is the son of Mike and Connie Sizemore.
