Anti-war protester 'resignation' a relief; 'little more than a waste of time'

I am so deeply relieved by the so-called resignation of Cindy Sheehan. She has bogged the entire country with her radical, impractical and simply unimaginable hatred for our president and this country for far too long.

Part of what makes our country great is the fact that we, as individuals, can vote. Our election brought President George W. Bush to the helm in 2004 and with it, his decisions, be they good or bad.

Certainly, we can support our president during a time of war? Does Sheehan believe that parading around the country like a rabid lunatic will send a good signal to our enemy or build morale for the troops in Iraq? Holding up peace signs to Sadam Hussein would not have made him relinquish his dictatorial powers.

The reality of it all is that Sheehan has hurt our country and our troops far more than she has advanced her cause. Every second that she sacrificed to further her cause, she sacrificed our dignity and honor as a country. The so-called cowards that Sheehan refers to were elected by their respected voters and fight everyday for the welfare of our country. Sheehan is a fighter not for a cause of peace, but of the abolishment of our democracy. I hate to clue Sheehan in on reality, but her cause seems little more than a waste of time to the rest of the country; I hope it was worth it to her.
