Absentee voting

Absentee voting is now open for the June 19 special election. Voters may cast ballots from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday through June 15, at the Board of Elections office in the Columbia County Government Center, Building E. Call (706) 868-3355.

Drama camp

The Greenbrier High School drama department will hold its fourth annual Drama Camp for students in grades 1-8 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday-Friday in the school auditorium. Classes include acting, music and dance. Cost is $50. For information, go to www1.ccboe.net/gbh/index.htm.

Women's conference

Johnnette Benkovic will be the featured speaker at the Women of Grace conference Friday and Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Road. Registration fee is $40. Youth day

Cruise-in

The John Redmond In It to Win It Cruise-in Scavenger Hunt will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 16 in the parking lot of French Market Grill West on Furys Ferry Road, in Martinez, with contests for vintage cars, imports and street tuners and motorcycles.
