The Exchange Club presented the ACE Award to Zak Beyersdoerfer during a recent meeting. ACE stands for Accepting the Challenge of Excellence and is a $1,000 scholarship given to a Columbia County student each year who has overcome adversity in high school.

Augusta Prep soccer has gone international. Thousands of miles across the Atlantic Ocean, a club soccer team from one of the larger cities in Ghana will visit the small village of Nsawam this summer for a soccer match.

Greenbrier takes down Marist for championship spot
For the Greenbrier baseball team, the second time around seems to be better. The Wolfpack once again earned a spot in the Class AAAA state championship series with a two-game sweep over Marist in the state semifinals on Memorial Day.
