Cori Smith, daughter of Jim and Beverly Smith, of Evans, has received a bachelor of science in advertising/communications magna cum laude from Florida State University. Cori is a 2003 graduate of Lakeside High School. She is employed in the marketing department at Raymond James Financial in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Art work showcased

Patrick Allison, a Berry College senior double majoring in art and communication, is the son of Thomas and Debra Allison, of Martinez. In April, the Berry College Moon Gallery showcased the work of student artists through a series of senior thesis art exhibits. Patrick, featured his multimedia work Quinkanpixel for his senior thesis exhibit.

Students Win Bright Futures Scholarships

The Kimberly-Clark Foundation has announced the 2007 winners of the Bright Futures college scholarship program. In Beech Island, where Kimberly-Clark Corp. has a consumer products manufacturing facility, two area students have been awarded: Megan Bulluck, of Evans High School, daughter of Derek Bulluck and Gwen Bulluck; and, Katherine Croft, of Greenbrier High School, daughter of James and Laura Croft. The Bright Futures Scholarship program has awarded merit-based college scholarships to children of Kimberly-Clark employees since 1993.

Scholarship awarded

Robin Reif, a junior art and design major at Alfred University, in Alfred, N.Y., was recognized as a recipient of the Kiki Smith Scholarship at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts during the university's annual spring honor's convocation April 20. The Kiki Smith Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding junior or first-semester senior studying ceramic art. It provides full tuition and living expenses for the recipient to attend a summer session of their choice at an arts and crafts school in Deer Isle, Maine. Reif is a daughter of Harvey and Mary Reif, of Evans, and a graduate of Greenbrier High School.

Winthrop marshal

Anne-Marie Stevenson, of Evans, was among 20 juniors selected to work as student marshals at the May 5 spring commencement ceremony for Winthrop University. Marshals, who have among the top grade point averages in their class, helped out during graduation.

UGA masters degree

Allison Smith, of Evans, has received a masters of education in counseling summa cum laude from the University of Georgia. Allie received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Mercer University in 2004. She will enter the Ph.D. program in counseling psychology at Georgia in June. She is the daughter of Jim and Beverly Smith, of Evans, and is a 2001 graduate from Lakeside High School.

North Greenville University graduate

Eric Wayne Dewyngaert, of Martinez, has graduated from North Greenville University at the spring commencement ceremony held May 3.
