The annual "Tribute to Mothers" food festival benefiting the American Breast Cancer Association will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Savannah Rapids Pavilion, with food from area restaurants, live music and a silent auction. Tickets cost $30 at the door. Call (706) 860-8127.

Chicken-Que

Grovetown United Methodist Church will hold its semi-annual "Chicken-Que" and yard sale Saturday, with the sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and barbecue chicken dinners available for $6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For information, call the church office at (706) 863-6668, or Mary Ann Navarro at (706) 799-2995.

Third Pops!

University Health Care System will sponsor the third annual Pops! Under the Stars at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Evans campus of University Health Care System, 447 North Belair Road. Voters are invited to hear candidates for the 10th District U.S. House seat and the 24th District Georgia state Senate seat at the Grovetown Merchants Association "stump meeting" at 6:30 p.m. May 10 at Grovetown's Liberty Park Community Center, 1040 Newmantown Road. Harlem car show

The fifth annual Harlem High School Car Show will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at the school. The Saturday show is for classic cars and hot-rods, with the Sunday show for tuner cars and bass competition. Vendor/swap meet spaces are available for $10.
