The Georgia Department of Natural Resources will accept letters of application Tuesday-May15 for the random drawing for 250 permits for hunting and fishing on Fort Gordon. Scouts golf tourney
The 21st annual Alltel Boy Scout Golf Classic will take place June 4 at Mount Vintage Plantation and Golf Club. The Lauderdale-format tournament will hold registration at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost is $500 for a four-man team or $125 for individuals, which includes door prizes and a steak dinner. T-ball for kids with special needs ages 4-18 years old will meet in Martinez starting in late May.
