The Morris Trio, of Aiken, will perform at 10 a.m. today at Evans Community Church in its final service at its 302 Byrd Road location. 'Giants' movie

Holocaust day

The Augusta Jewish Community Center, at 898 Weinberger Way, off Furys Ferry Road in Evans, will observe Holocaust Remembrance Day at 7 p.m. today. Holocaust survivor Judith Evans will speak, and the cast of I Can Cry will join in lighting memorial candles. For information, call (706) 228-3636.

Free legal help

Georgia Legal Services Program staff will meet with senior citizens, ages 60 and older, seeking free legal help on a first-come, first-served basis for noncriminal legal issues from 8:30-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Bessie Thomas Senior Center in Grovetown. Call (706) 721-2327.

Books wanted

John Klement and members of Boy Scout Troop 615 are holding a book drive to benefit Heritage Academy and Friends of Columbia County Libraries. They will collect new and used books through April 28 from drop-off receptacles at Wesley United Methodist Church, Greenbrier elementary, middle and high schools, St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, the Columbia County Library in Evans, and The Columbia County News-Times offices.
