Special Olympics
The third annual Columbia County Schools Special Olympics was held recently at Columbia Junior High.
The students participated in five events, which included the 50 yard dash, 100 yard dash, standing broad jump, softball throw, and the obstacle course.
The local schools will send 39 students to district competition.
Brown wins tourney
Dr. Grayson Brown of Evans speared nine rings in the three high-speed charges to win the fifth annual Aiken Lancing Tournament recently. He was the only one among 20 "Knights" to have perfect scores.
