Business fair
The Columbia County Entrepreneur Friendly Committee will present the 2007 Small Business and Entrepreneur Resource Fair, with information for new and prospective businesses, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Columbia County Board of Education meeting room, 4781 Hereford Farm Road, in Evans. Book fair
Greenbrier Elementary School will hold a spring Scholastic book fair in the media center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through March 29, with family night from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday.
Youth leadership
March 30 is the deadline for applications for the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership program for 2008. Applicants must be rising 10th- or 11th-graders attending a Columbia County high school or residing in the county. Danger seminar
Seigler's Karate Center, at 4471 Columbia Road, Martinez, will hold a free Stranger Danger Seminar at 6 p.m. Friday for children and adults. Registration is required by calling (706) 855-5685.
Jazz series
