Volleyball set for weekend tournament

At least 69 club volleyball teams from as far away as Knoxville, Tenn., will descend on Columbia County this weekend for the March Blowout Tournament held by the CSRA Heat.

The tournament, for girls 13 to 18 years old, will take place at six sites.

CSRA Heat Club Director Lance Abbott said volleyball fans will have opportunities to see volleyball played at several different levels.

"The 18 Power division will be at Augusta Prep and features teams that are better than any high school team in our area," Abbott said.
