A benefit for the 93rd Signal Brigade Family Readiness Group will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Imperial Theatre, 745 Broad St., with a raffle, silent auction, door prizes, entertainment, video conference to soldiers in Iraq and information on adopting a soldier. Jazz series

Columbia County's "Sounds of Jazz" series continues 7 p.m. Friday with Kings of Swing at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center. Miss Harlem

Baby Signs workshop offered

An introductory workshop for the Baby Signs program for new parents, grandparents and caregivers will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Wesley United Methodist Church, at 825 N.
