Military Milestones

- Army Reserve Pfc. Keithan J. Beasley, a 2006 graduate of Hephzibah High School and son of Willie and Caron Beasley, of Augusta, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Army Pvt. Kenora D. Germany, a 2006 graduate of T.W. Josey High School and daughter of Lillian N. Thomas, of Augusta, and Kenneth W. Germany, of Covington, Ga., has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Fort Gordon has announced the following honors:

Army Spc. Angela Anders, assigned to the 434th Army Band, Service-member of the Quarter, first quarter, fiscal year 2007; and Robert McDaniel, an instructor for the 25P Microwave Systems Operator/Maintainers Course in the 551st Signal Battalion, Instructor of the Quarter, first quarter, fiscal year 2007.

Also, Ardith Hyder, assigned to Communications Networking Systems, 551st Signal Battalion as an office automation clerk, Civilian of the Quarter, first quarter, fiscal year 2007; and Floyd Moore, who volunteers as a tax preparer and administrative assistant at the Fort Gordon Tax Center, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, Volunteer of the Month for November 2006.

Also, Army Sgt. First Class Keenda Batchelor, assigned to Company C, 447th Signal Battalion as a Microwave Systems Operator/Maintainer, Noncommissioned Officer of the Quarter, first quarter, fiscal year 2007; and Army Spc. Brian Davis, a food specialist with Company A, 63rd Signal Battalion, Cook of the Quarter for the first quarter of fiscal year 2007.

Also, Debbie Bennett, who routinely volunteers 15 to 20 hours a week in several capacities in the Religious Support Office, Volunteer of the Month for October 2006; and Carrie Raney, who volunteers with Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center's Health Services Auxiliary, Volunteer of the Month for December.

- Army Pvt. Roman A. Covos III, son of Lynda Covos, of Augusta, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Air Force Airman Gregory A. James Jr., son of Gregory A. James Sr. and Arleatha Dairty Yeboha, of Augusta, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Air Force Airman Maliak K. McEachern, a 2005 graduate of A. R. Johnson Magnet High School, and son of Donna McEachern, of Augusta, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Air Force Airman Cesar A. Valdez, a 2005 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and son of Rafael Valdez, of Fort Gordon, and Xenia Valdez, of Hinesville, Ga., has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Army Pvt. Jonathan W. Cleere, son of Gary N. Cleere, of Hephzibah, and Nona S. Walker, of New Boston, Texas, has graduated from Phase I of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal course at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala.

- Army National Guard Pfc. Wilhemina L. White, a 2006 graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School and daughter of Irene White, of Augusta, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Army Pfc. Aleesha N. Marshall, a 2004 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County High School and daughter of Delia Marshall, of Augusta, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Army Pvt. Marquelle A. Johnson, a 2005 graduate of Hephzibah High School and son of Otis L. and Alice H. Johnson, of Hephzibah, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

- Army Pvt. Nicole R. Burch, a 2000 graduate of Glenn Hills High School and daughter of Dianne Moultry, of Augusta, graduated basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Army Reserve Pvt. Jamario F. Smith, a 2006 graduate of Cross Creek High School and son of Sonia Dantignac, of Hephzibah, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Army Pfc. Carlos L. Hooks, a 2000 graduate of Glenn Hills High School and son of Josephine Hobbs, of Augusta, graduated basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Army Pvt. Joseph T. Smith III, a 2002 graduate of A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet High School and son of Joseph T. Smith Jr., of Augusta, has graduated from the Food Service Specialist Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va.

- Army Spec. Joe M. Bright, a 2000 graduate of Hephzibah High School and son of Valerie Bright, of Hephzibah, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.
