Coach: Rodney Holder (first year)
//
Colors: Green, gold
Last state title: 2006
Last region title: 2006
2006 record: 31-1
2006 highlights: Greenbrier claimed the 2006 Class AAAA state championship in dominating fashion. The Wolfpack swept Marist in the state finals series and finished the year at 31-1. It was the school's fourth baseball state title.
Player to watch: Junior pitcher Nolan Belcher is halfway through his high school career and has yet to lose a game. Last year's highlight-filled performances included striking out 18 of 22 batters in a 2-1 win over Bainbridge in the first round of the state playoffs. Consider Greenbrier the favorite to win every game he takes the mound.
Strength: First-year head coach Rodney Holder couldn't ask for a better pitching rotation to inherit. With Belcher and senior pitcher Brandon Cumpton on the mound, the Greenbrier offense need to produce only 2-3 runs per game tops.
Weakness: As much talent as Greenbrier has returning at pitcher, they lost just as much talent at the plate. One of Holder's main tasks will be replacing the bats of graduated seniors Rich Poythress, Chris Johnson, Cal Morris, Tim Thornhill and Rafael Parks.
