The Breast Health Center Mobile Mammography Unit will be at the Columbia County Health Department in Evans today and on April 18, June 20, Aug. 15, Oct. 10 and Dec. 12. Appointments are required. For information, call (706) 868-3330.

Party meetings

Columbia County's Republican Party will hold precinct meetings starting with 9 a.m. registration Saturday at Greenbrier High School. The purpose of the meeting is to elect precinct delegates and alternates for the March 24 county convention. For information, call party Chairman Charles Allen at (706) 306-8872.

Byrds in song

The Byrd Family will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Friday at Purvis Community School on Georgia Highway 17 between Thomson and Wrens. The program is sponsored by Bible Fellowship Church. For information, call (706) 651-1971.

Big yard sale

First Baptist Church of Evans will hold its inaugural community yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 3 (March 10 in case of rain) at the church, on Belair Road at Washington Road.
