Columbia County's Republican Party will hold precinct meetings starting with 9 a.m. registration Saturday at Greenbrier High School. Vendors needed

Vendors are being sought for Columbia County's Farmers Market, to be held 8 a.m. to noon March 24, April 7 and 28, and May 12 at the Evans Town Center Park. For information, call (706) 312-7192.

Miss Harlem

The Miss City of Harlem 2007 Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. March 17 at Harlem High School, with categories ranging from 2-18 years old. Advance tickets cost $5, or $7 at the door. For information, call (706) 556-0401.

Mobile mammograms

The Breast Health Center Mobile Mammography Unit will be at the Columbia County Health Department, in Evans, on Wednesday, and on April 18, June 20, Aug. 15, Oct. 10 and Dec. 12. Appointments are required. For information, call (706) 868-3330.

Recipe contest

Monday is the deadline for entries in the recipe contest sponsored by Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church Community Development Corp. The contest, which requires each entrant to submit a prepared dish, will begin with check-in at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, and the contest from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church fellowship hall, 703 Furys Ferry Road, Evans.
