A drive to collect new sports team baseball hats for pediatric cancer patients who attend Camp Rainbow will be held from 7-11 p.m. Friday at Dudley's Dawg House, across from Gerald Jones Honda, in Martinez. Donors receive half-price appetizers.

Disc golf tourney

The Golden Harvest Food Bank Disc Golf Ice Bowl tournament and chili cook-off will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Patriots Park. Admission for entries in all disc golf divisions is $20 plus canned food, with proceeds benefiting the food bank. Call Brian Jackson at (706) 210-4039.

Heart benefit

Friday is the early registration deadline for the March 3 Heart and Sole 5K walk/run to benefit the MCG Children's Medical Center Heart Program. For information, go to www.heartandsoleinc.org.

Aquarium trip

The Children's and Youth Ministry of Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church is sponsoring a trip to the Georgia Aquarium on Saturday. The cost for the trip, which includes bus transportation to the aquarium, is $20 for children 12 and under; $30 for youth ages 13-17; $45 for adults ages 18-54; and $25 for seniors. Car, truck show

A car and truck show to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will be held Saturday at the Shops at Furys Ferry, on Furys Ferry and Baston roads, in Martinez.
