Columbia County repertory group Stage III presents Always ... Patsy Cline, a musical tribute to Cline and the close friendship she shared with a Houston woman she met before Cline was killed in a plane crash in 1963.

The musical begins a three-performance run at 8 p.m. Friday at Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center. Performances follow at 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.

The musical, written by New York City playwright Ted Swindley, features more than two dozen of Cline's classic songs, said Fred Elser, co-founder of Stage III.
