Rather than push Algebra II, education should be 'as varied as real world'
Georgia State Superintendent of Education Kathy Cox wants to improve the science curriculum in our schools, but her approach will only exacerbate the problem. Her plan is to have all high school graduates complete Algebra II by 2012.

Basketball playoffs under way
As the 2006-07 basketball season enters its final stretch, the subregion seedings remain undecided. Tuesday's games did help clear the picture a little, but it wasn't the type of outlook that Greenbrier boys coach Casey Dees and Evans coach Kevin Kenny were hoping to see.

Browns are out but Bears, Colts have their own strong points
