The 4-H Horse Club will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the gym at Marvin United Methodist Church at Belair and Wheeler roads. Proceeds will be donated to an equine rescue group in Georgia.

Aquarium trip

The Children's and Youth Ministry of Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church is sponsoring a trip to the Georgia Aquarium on Feb. 17. The cost, which includes bus transportation to the aquarium, is $20 for children 12 and younger; $30 for youth ages 13-17; $45 for adults ages 18-54; and $25 for seniors. The bus will leave the church, at 703 Furys Ferry Road in Evans, at 7 a.m. and return at 7 p.m. For information, call (706) 860-7091.

The next Columbia County Extension Service Gardening at Lunch series will be held at 12:10 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Columbia County Library. Extension Agent Charles Phillips will discuss pruning trees.
