Army Sgt. 1st Class Roderick R. Taylor has been inducted into the Sgt. Audie L. Murphy Club, a club formed in 1986 in honor of the Army's most decorated World War II combat soldier, Audie Leon Murphy. Taylor, a counterintelligence agent with 13 years of military service, is assigned at Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista, Ariz. He is the son of Tony and Pansy Fugghett, of Martinez. His wife, Shonda, is the daughter of Levi Sullivan Sr., of Augusta, and Hattie Sullivan, of Hephzibah.

New assignment

Air Force Airman 1st Class Joshua A. Bearden has arrived for duty at Fort George G. Meade, Laurel, Md. Bearden, a linguist with two years of military service, is assigned to the 22nd Intelligence Squadron. He is the son of Ralph and Rebecca Bearden, of Martinez. The airman is a 1994 graduate of Evans High School.

Training graduate

Air Force Airman Matthew S. Watts has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Donna Watts, of Grovetown. Watts is a 2005 graduate of Etowah High School, Woodstock, Ga.
