Organizers are expecting some dynamite performances at the Gospel Talent Explosion show Saturday at Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church.
The talent show, which begins at 5 p.m. at the Evans church, will include music, dancing, poetry and even a mime, said Carolyn Williams, who is organizing the event along with Janet Bishop and Vicki Daniels.
"We noticed that we had a lot of talent in the area," Williams said. "We want to show the talents of the youths."
Students ranging in age from 8 to 18 will offer performances, and Williams said there are still slots left for anyone who would like to share their special talent.
The talent show will benefit the church's education and scholarship ministry, Williams said.
"We (the church) give contributions to graduating seniors for college or technical school," she said.
