Vandals sought
The mayor and council of the city of Harlem are shocked as a result of vandalism that occurred at the Harlem School over the weekend. Several plate glass windows were shot out with an air rifle.
A $25 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the party or parties involved.
Other instances of vandalism have occurred in the past. City officials "earnestly solicit the full cooperation of parents in putting an end to such destruction," the mayor said.
Pecan convention
Francis Tracy and Marion Luckey of Tracy-Luckey Pecan Co. Inc., of Harlem, flew to New Orleans from Atlanta shortly after noon on Sunday to be present at the National Pecan Shellers and Processors Association which convened in that city the early part of the week.
