Christmas, New Year's closings set

In honor of the upcoming Christmas and New Year's holidays, governments and post offices in Columbia County are closing.

Columbia County government offices including the Justice Center and Courthouse Annex will be closed Monday and Tuesday and Jan. 1.

The Columbia County school board office will be closed Monday through Jan. 1.

Columbia County's Tax Commissioner's Office and the tag office, in Evans, is closed until 8 a.m. Wednesday. The Appling tag office will be closed until 9 a.m. Wednesday. Both offices will be closed Jan. 1 and reopen for regular hours Jan. 2.

The three locations of the Columbia County Health Department will not be open on Monday and Tuesday and Jan. 1.

In Grovetown, government offices, including City Hall, will be closed Monday and Tuesday and Jan. 1

Meanwhile, in Harlem, government offices, including City Hall and the administrative offices, will not be open on Monday and Tuesday and Jan. 1

All U.S. Post Offices will be closed Monday and Jan. 1.
