Hands Up Outreach Ministries in Harlem will hold a citywide worship service at 7 p.m. today at Harlem Middle School. The Rev. Philip Vestal, of Harlem Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. The ministry is seeking donations of heaters, blankets, sweaters, winter clothing and nonperishable food items. The ministry is at 110 S. Hicks St. For information, call (706) 556-2259.
Christmas Eve services set
- Bible Cathedral, at 1116 Furys Ferry Road in Evans, will hold a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m. Sunday. For information, call (706) 863-7090.
- Covenant United Methodist Church, a new congregation meeting at Greenbrier Elementary School, will hold a candlelight communion Christmas Eve service from 5:30-6 p.m. Sunday. For information, call (706) 339-7090.
- Church of the Holy Comforter, which meets at Savannah Rapids Pavilion, will hold a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m., with a children's Christmas pageant and a brass and wind ensemble. For information, call (706) 210-1133.
Annual meeting
The annual meeting of Martinez-Columbia Fire Rescue will be held at fire department headquarters, 3910 Desoto Drive, in Martinez, at 7 p.m. Jan. 2. An audit will be submitted for approval, the 2007 budget will be discussed and two members will be elected to the Board of Trustees.
'Lights' on
The annual Lights of the South Christmas lights display runs from 6-10 p.m. each day through Dec. 30 The display is off Interstate 20, near Grovetown. For information, call (706) 825-6441.
