Lt. Gov. Vandiver comes to Evans

Lt. Gov. Ernest Vandiver will address the East Georgia Log Rollers Association at Evans on Dec. 7, 1956.

Vandiver said he was honored to address the association, which is comprised of Woodmen of the World Camps in 10 counties of the Savannah River area.

During the meeting, John P. Blanchard, president of the organization, will preside and introduce the main speaker. There will be a barbecue following the meeting.

Class elects officers

The Helen Walton Class of the Methodist Church held its regular meeting with Mrs. L.I. Prather on Tuesday evening, Nov. 27, 1956. Mrs. Carl Nash and Mrs. Henry Hunt were co-hostesses to the 23 members and guest Rev. James Griffin.

Officers were elected during the meeting, and they are: president, Mrs. Prather; first vice-president, Miss Claudia Keller; second vice-president, Mrs. Gene Dunn; recording secretary, Mrs. Overton McDaniel; corresponding secretary, Mrs. Clyde Crawford; treasurer, Mrs. Billy Culpepper; reporter, Mrs. Tom Kipp.
