The Columbia County Board of Education will hold its second public meeting for parent input on the proposed rezoning for the new elementary school in Grovetown at 7 p.m. Jan. 4 at Lewiston Elementary School. For information, call (706) 541-0650, ext. 5204.

Worship service

Hands Up Outreach Ministries in Harlem will hold a citywide worship service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harlem Middle School, with the Rev. Philip Vestal of Harlem Baptist Church as guest speaker. The ministry also is seeking donations of heaters, blankets, sweaters, winter clothing and nonperishable food items.

Christmas service

Bible Cathedral, at 1116 Furys Ferry Road, in Evans, will hold a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m. Dec. 24. For information, call (706) 863-7090.

Library volunteers needed for tags
