Electronics and cash stolen in Grovetown

A Grovetown man told the city's Department of Public Safety that someone stole video games, electronics and cash from his home.

The resident of the 200 block of Pinetree Street said his Sony PlayStation, a DVD player, 25 DVDs, 40 CDs, dozens of video games and more than $500 in cash and loose change had been stolen, according to a police incident report.

Officers reported finding fresh pry marks to a rear entrance to the house.

Woman reports bracelet was stolen during visit

A Griffin, Ga., woman told deputies Tuesday that someone stole her gold bracelet from an Evans home she had visited last month.

The 76-year-old said that while she stayed in the 500 block of Old Evans Road on Nov. 9-25, someone stole her $10,000 bracelet. She said she does not want to prosecute but wants her property returned.

No suspects were mentioned in the sheriff's incident report.

Camcorder stolen from Lakeside Middle School

A teacher and an assistant principal of Lakeside Middle School told deputies Tuesday that someone had stolen a camcorder from a classroom the day before.

The teacher said the Sony camcorder, valued at about $480, was taken from the technology room of the school at 527 Blue Ridge Drive in Evans.

The camcorder had been attached to a tripod in the classroom Monday morning.

Power tools are taken from shed of Evans home

An Evans man told deputies Tuesday that someone stole power tools and a chair from a storage shed on his property.

The 49-year-old in the 500 block of Pheasant Run Drive said someone took a chain saw, a miter saw, a cordless drill and a boxed rocker glider chair with ottoman from the unsecured shed in his backyard between Dec. 3 and Tuesday afternoon.
