The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and presenting sponsor Augusta First Bank and Trust will present the Chamber's 2006 Pre-Legislative Breakfast on Wednesday at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion. Breakfast will be provided by Sunrise Grille and will begin being served at 7 a.m., with the program to start at 7:30 a.m. Premier sponsors include Serotta Maddocks Evans & Co. and Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc.
Our Legislative Breakfast is one of our most important programs in our mission to be the voice of business for Columbia County. Our full state legislative delegation will be in attendance: State Sen. Jim Whitehead, and state Reps. Ben Harbin, Barry Fleming and Barbara Sims. Lt. Gov.-elect Casey Cagle also will make a special appearance and speak at our breakfast.
This is an opportunity as chamber member and/or county citizen to hear directly from representatives and hear their answers to questions fielded from our membership.
Columbia County is blessed abundantly in so many ways, and that includes our legislative delegation. All four have repeatedly demonstrated they are accessible, hard-working, committed and effective, and it is an honor to have them represent us in Atlanta. They have also been successful in securing key caucus, committee and board positions that ensure Columbia County and our surrounding region receive the best representation possible. ...
Thank you to Bobby Christine, Chris Noah and the entire Government Affairs Committee for putting this excellent program together. Attendance for the event has more than doubled over the past couple of years, and we expect at least 200 to be in attendance. Members who RSVP may attend free of charge, while the cost is $10 for non-members and last-minute attendees.
Please call the Chamber at (706) 651-0018 or e-mail Karen@columbiacountychamber.com to RSVP.
