Regina Buccafusco 'is driven by her desire to continually improve'

I have had the opportunity to serve with both candidates vying for the chairmanship of the Columbia County Board of Education, and it is with great pleasure that I offer this letter on behalf of Regina Buccafusco.

Having served as superintendent during her eight years on the School Board, I have witnessed first hand Buccafusco's dedication and commitment to the position of public service entrusted to her. Like other outstanding public officials, she is driven by her desire to continually improve and make better the institution she represents. There are no hidden agendas, no self-serving purposes or desire for power and prestige. She simply wants to improve educational opportunities for our students and in doing so, ensure a better quality of life for the entire community.

On Dec. 5, the voters will for the first time elect the chairperson for the School Board. I urge you to secure the well-being of our school system by voting for a person who has demonstrated effective service over the past eight years. Join me in electing Regina Buccafusco.
