The Columbia County Ballet, located at 639 Furys Ferry Road, held a ribbon cutting and unveiled a new logo in August. Attending were: Marilyn Heuer (back row, from left), Ruskin Yeargain (designer of the new logo), Gordon Renshaw (Chamber of Commerce), State Sen. Jim Whitehead, Kathleen and Ron Jones (directors of the ballet), Dr. Jeff Hardin (Columbia County Champion for the Arts), Chairman Ron Cross, and Pastor Rich Bowen of New Hope Worship Center, who gave the invocation; first and second rows are dancers from the Columbia County Ballet. The Columbia County Ballet was recently named official resident company of the new Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center in Columbia County's new multimillion-dollar library.
