Ware County 34, Greenbrier 7

Half a dozen turnovers killed any chance that Greenbrier's offense had while the Wolfpack defense gave up four rushing touchdowns. Greenbrier and Ware County were tied 7-7 at halftime, but a 20-point Ware County fourth quarter made the difference. Greenbrier's Freddie Jones rushed for 179 yards on 34 carries in the loss.

Brunswick 31, Evans 19

Evans quarterback Kevin Millward threw for three touchdowns but had two passes picked off in a 12-point region loss to Brunswick. The Knights battled back from a 21-0 halftime deficit to score 19 second-half points, but it wasn't enough to prevent Evans' second straight region loss.

Glynn Academy 40, Lakeside 0

Playing at home, Lakeside dropped its second straight 40-point loss. The Panthers dropped to 2-6 overall and have been outscored 161-0 in their last four games.

Washington County 40, Harlem 26

The Bulldogs dropped their first region loss of the season on the road at Washington County. The loss put Harlem at 1-1 in Region 3-AAA play and made this Friday's home game against Thomson a must-win to stay in the state playoff hunt.
