Please accept this letter in support of Bill Williams for Superior Court Judge. By any measure, Bill is the most qualified of the four local attorneys seeking this position. He has more than 35 years of courtroom experience, handling all kinds of cases from the routine to the complex.

Of particular significance is his vast experience in domestic relations cases such as divorce and child custody. The new judge will have primary responsibility over such important family matters.

Williams also has extensive experience in handling appeals to the Georgia Appellate courts, both state and federal. His trial experience exceeds the experience of all the other candidates combined. This vast experience uniquely qualifies him to assume the duties of a trial judge for Columbia, Richmond and Burke counties.

Because of his qualifications he has in the past served as acting probate judge of Richmond County, as well as a special master rendering decisions in technical and specialized cases.

Under our system of government our judiciary must remain impartial, independent, unbiased and fair and not become beholden to partisan politics or opinion polls. Our judicial branch especially must not be constrained by undue influence, influence-peddling or political pressure. The rule of law is not a conservative or liberal value. It is not a Democrat or Republican value. It is an American value. As our next superior court judge, Bill Williams will deliver on the promise of equal justice for all.

In this election, experience counts - and Bill Williams is by far the most qualified candidate to serve as our next superior court judge.
