Augusta Christian 44, Cardinal Newman 8
Friday's SCISA Region 1-AAA win was another example of Augusta Christian's dominant running game. Kyle Meeks, Tyler Bourdo, and Josh McDaniel all ran for touchdowns, while Bourdo threw to receiver Josh Whitaker for another score to improve to 7-1 this season. Augusta Christian's Austin Crabill also found the end zone on a 31-yard touchdown off of a blocked punt.
Brunswick 49, Greenbrier 28
Greenbrier's offense scored more than 20 points for the fourth time this season, but the defense allowed 416 yards of total offense and six rushing touchdowns in a 21-point region loss to Brunswick. Greenbrier's Bryan Andrews scored on a 21-yard fumble return for a touchdown, and the Wolfpack offense totalled 298 yards of total offense and scored three times in the second half.
Statesboro 38, Evans 0
The Blue Devils, now ranked No. 1 in Class AAAA, improved their winning streak to 21 games with a dominant win over Evans. Knight quarterback Kevin Millward threw for more than 100 yards again, but Statesboro countered with 259 yards rushing and four touchdowns on the ground.
Ware County 40, Lakeside 0
Playing in their longest road trip so far this season, the Panthers dropped their third straight game to Ware County. Lakeside fell to 2-5 this season and 1-5 in Region 3-AAAA play.
