Lions' tailback Kyle Meeks didn't find the end zone but rushed for 146 yards and, in six games this season, has totaled 689 yards of offense on the ground.
Lakeside 0, Brunswick 48
A homecoming crowd and a long bus ride from the Georgia coast didn't deter the Brunswick Pirates as Lakeside was shut out Friday night for the third time this season. The loss dropped the Panthers to 2-4 and 1-4 in the Region 3-AAAA standings.
Harlem 0, Burke County 20
For the second consecutive week, the Bulldogs were shut out against a Class AAA opponent, with a 20-0 loss to Burke County. With starting fullback Barry St. John wearing a cast on his wrist and starter Trey Crain out for the season with a knee injury, the Bulldogs couldn't stop Burke County from earning its third straight win. Harlem fell to 1-4 for the year.
