FOSTER GRANDPARENT, SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAMS: Limited-income people 60 and older are needed to work from 15 to 40 hours a week with special-needs children or adults; (706) 826-4480

RETIRED AND SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM: Offers people 55 and older an opportunity to apply their experience to meet critical community needs; pairs volunteers with their choice of organizations; (706) 826-4480

SENIOR WHEELS USA: Power wheelchairs available to senior citizens and the permanently disabled at no cost if they qualify (people who cannot walk or self-propel in a standard wheelchair); (800) 246-6010

ST. JOSEPH CENTER FOR HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE
