Hardy festival

Red hat party
The Red Hot Flashers of Martinez, a chapter of the Red Hat Society, will hold A Red Hatters Tea Party luncheon, tea, fashion show and silent auction from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, with proceeds to benefit three local charities. School carnival

Fertility talk
Dr. Lawrence Layman, of the Medical College of Georgia's Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates, will discuss infertility evaluations at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Columbia County Library, 720 N. Belair Road. Admission is free.
Fort Oktoberfest
Fort Gordon's annual Oktoberfest will be Thursday through Sunday on Barton Field, with a flea market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and a carnival from 4-10 p.m. Thursday, noon to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. Entertainment includes the Signal Corps Band, Jake Herzon and the Bavarian Express, Edelweiss Dancers, and Friendship Singers and Dancers.
