The Moola Hula Goods and Services Auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta, on Walton Way Extension.

Advance tickets are available today at the church, $15 for adults, $25 for couples and $10 for students, with adult tickets $20 and students $15 the night of the event.

The silent and live auctions benefit local social outreach programs.

Registration deadline

Tuesday is the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 7 general election.

Voter registration drives will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Oliver Hardy Festival in Harlem, and at the Kmart on Washington Road in Martinez.

Absentee voting also is under way at the Columbia County Board of Elections Office, 630 Ronald Reagan Drive, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Red Cross classes

The American Red Cross of Augusta will hold the following training sessions during October:

- Adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation, automated external defibrillator and first aid, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the chapter office, 1322 Ellis St., Augusta, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 28 at Patriots Park.

- Adult CPR and AED, Oct. 9 and 23, 6-9 p.m. at the chapter office.

- First aid, Oct. 10 and 24, 6-9 p.m. at the chapter office.

- CPR/first aid instructor course, Oct. 10, 11 and 12, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the chapter office.

- Infant and child CPR, Oct. 11 and 25, 6-9 p.m. at the chapter office.

- Pet first aid, Oct. 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the chapter office.

Disaster training courses also will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 17 and 26 at the chapter office.
