Teenage 101
Columbia County Chief Magistrate Judge Wade Padgett will present Teenage Years 101, about the implications of being a teenager in modern society, with emphasis on laws on sex, substance abuse and driving. A session for adults starts at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at Augusta Prep's Performing Arts Center. A session for teens begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Augusta Prep. Filing deadline

Haunted trail
The Lakeside High School JROTC Booster Club will hold a Haunted Trail from 7:30-11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, and 7:30 p.m. to midnight Friday, Oct. 27, at the school. The cost is $1, with children under age 5 admitted free. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be sold, and free hay rides available.
Church event
Mount Zion Baptist Church, 805 Scott Nixon Drive in Martinez, will celebrate its 110th anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, with the Rev. Raford Roundtree, the pastor of Mount Pleasant and St. John Baptist churches of Jackson, S.C., in charge of services.
Bluegrass concert
