Homecoming parade
Greenbrier High School's homecoming parade will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday through the streets of the school's complex, ending at the high school football field.

Teenage 101
Columbia County Chief Magistrate Judge Wade Padgett will present "Teenage Years 101," on the implications of being a teenager in modern society, including laws on sex, substance abuse and driving, for ages 13-19 at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center in the Columbia County Library, and at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at Augusta Preparatory Day School's Performing Arts Center. Animal blessing
Church of the Holy Comforter will hold its annual Blessing of the Animals at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Columbia County Memorial Gardens, behind the library in Evans. Free treats will be available for pets and their owners, and Happy Tails Rescue will hold pet adoptions.
