The Marvin United Methodist Church annual Pumpkin Patch will open Oct. 7-31 at the church, on Wheeler Road at Belair Road. A barbecue chicken dinner will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call (706) 855-9786.

Bond information

The Columbia County Commission will hold information sessions on the proposed $43.7 million bond issue at 6 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Evans Government Center Auditorium, and at 6 p.m. Oct. 26 at Savannah Rapids Pavilion.
