Military milestones

- Air Force Airman La Kedrian M. Guy, son of Margo Hollins, of Fort Gordon, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Army Pvt. Daniel S. Oliver, son of Angela Oliver, of Augusta, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky.

- Army National Guard Pvt. Damon S. Beldner, a 2005 graduate of Westside High School and son of Kevin Beldner, of Augusta, and Carlene Johnston, of Rowlett, Texas, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Dominique A. Jones, a 2004 graduate of Glenn Hills High School, a student at Augusta State University and daughter of Dennis E. and Dorothy A. Jones, of Augusta, has graduated from the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky.

- Avery K. Summers, a 2002 graduate of Cross Creek High School and son of Arthur L. Summers, of Hephzibah, graduated from the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps Leader Development and Assessment Course at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. He earned an associate degree in 2005 from Georgia Military College, Milledgeville, and is a student at Mercer University, Macon, Ga.
