ST. JOSEPH HOSPITAL SENIOR ADVANTAGE

St. Joseph Hospital offers a program for people 50 and older. Senior Advantage has bingo, canasta, health and educational programs; $10 membership fee per year; (706) 481-7232

FOSTER GRANDPARENT, SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAMS: Limited-income people 60 and older are needed to work from 15 to 40 hours a week with special-needs children or adults; (706) 826-4480

AARP SENIOR EMPLOYMENT: Jobs and training for workers are available for residents of Richmond, McDuffie, Columbia, Lincoln and Wilkes counties who are older than 55; accepting applications for certified nursing training; (706) 722-4700

RETIRED AND SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM: Offers people 55 and older an opportunity to apply their experience to meet critical community needs; pairs volunteers with their choice of organizations; (706) 826-4480
