Augusta Christian 28, Pinewood Prep 0

One week after a blowout loss, the Lions took out their frustrations on Pinewood Prep with a 28-0 shutout. The home victory saw what could be the start of a beautiful connection between Augusta Christian quarterback Tyler Bourdo and wide receiver Josh Whitaker. Bourdo found Whitaker for two first-half touchdown strikes for a 13-0 lead at halftime.

The Lions ground game took care of the rest as fullback Jay Harmon and offensive utility man Josh McDaniel found the end zone in the second half. Augusta Christian's defense held Pinewood Prep to only 44 yards of total offense.

Harlem 14, Lincoln County 35

After last week's loss to Evans came on six fumbles, Harlem cut their turnovers in half last weekend against Lincoln County. However, the defending Class A state champions were still too much for the Bulldogs.

Harlem's Trey Crain and Alex Hintz both scored on running plays, but the rest of the night belonged to the Red Devils as Lincoln County tallied 420 yards of total offense. Bulldog tailback Barry St. John and quarterback Brendan Gray combined for 155 yards on the ground in the loss.
